All too often in our political discourse, apathy trumps action. People are fond of complaining, but not keen on doing what is necessary to make their voices heard. It is the belief of the Grassroots Peace Initiative that the first step towards the end of poverty, international violence, and injustice is to speak our minds, loudly and passionately.

We are non-partisan in our causes. Indeed, Democrats and Republicans are both equally at fault, and equally deserving of credit (sadly, less so in this regard), when it comes to inaction or beneficial change in our political community. It is our view that liberals, conservatives, and moderates have more in common than they realize, particularly in the areas of global and local peace and stability.
